Bus

Dublin Bus No. 130 starts at Clontarf Castle Hotel and finishes in City Centre at Lower Abbey Street. This follows the exact opposite route on return. This bus comes approximately by every 10 minutes during the weekdays and every 20 minutes at the weekends. The last bus service is at 23:30 hours from each side. DART

Clontarf Castle Hotel is conveniently located close to the DART stations at Killester & Clontarf Road. These are both approximately 10-15 minute walks from the castle and travel to various locations, including Dublin city centre. Taxi

Clontarf Castle Hotel has collaboration with a local taxi company that provides us with a 24 hours taxi call out service. Whenever you need a taxi while in the hotel, kindly call the Reception/Concierge with a 10 minute notice and it shall be organised for you. The approximate fare from Dublin Airport to Clontarf Castle Hotel in a taxi is €25 – €30.

From Dublin Airport

5 miles, 20 minutes from Dublin Airport.

East Point Business Park & Croke Park

Take the M1 towards the city centre. At the first set of traffic lights turn left onto Collins Avenue . Continue to the end of the road to a T-junction where it intersects with the Howth Road. Bear left (The Beachcomer Pub is facing you).

At the second set of traffic lights take a sharp right onto Castle Avenue. The entrance to Clontarf Castle Hotel is at the first roundabout on the right hand side.

From Dublin City Centre

Drive down Dawson Street and turn right onto Nassau Street . Keep left and follow the road around onto Westland Row and at the bottom of the street, turn left onto Pearse Street.

Turn left onto Castle Avenue when you see the signs for Clontarf Castle Hotel and follow the road up to the castle roundabout.

Continue to the end of Pearse Street taking a right on to Tara Street. Make sure to stay in one of the right hand lanes. Drive over Butt Bridge and around by the back of the Customs House and veer left on to Amiens Street. Continue on to Fairview (appox. 1.5 miles) passing under the DART bridge at Clontarf.

DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit)

Clontarf Castle Hotel is also conveniently located close to the DART station at Killester & Clontarf Road.

From Killester (only a ten minute walk): At the second set of traffic lights take a sharp right onto Castle Avenue. The entrance to Clontarf Castle Hotel is at the first roundabout on the right hand side.

From Clontarf (only a 15 minute walk): Continue along the seafront pass the Yacht pub on your left hand side. At the next set of lights turn left onto Castle Avenue. This road bears right, when you approach the roundabout, Clontarf Castle is located on your left.

From Dublin Ferry Port

Leaving Dublin Ferry Port, continue to the traffic lights and turn right onto East Wall Road. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights onto Alfie Byrne Road.

Turn right at the T-junction onto Clontarf Road. Continue for half a mile. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights onto Castle Avenue. The entrance to Clontarf Castle Hotel is on the left at the next roundabout.
