No, your day is very special to us, therefore we apply a strict one Wedding a day policy at the Castle.
From the enquiry stage up to your Wedding day and after, our dedicated Wedding Executive will be take care of every detail for you & ensure you have the most magical day.
The maximum capacity for a wedding at Clontarf Castle is 250 guests.
There would be a minimum number of 40 adults for our pre-defined packages. However, we can create a bespoke package for smaller weddings. There is a minimum number of 120 adults on a Friday or Saturday.
Yes, we have a number of function rooms that are licensed for ceremonies.
Depending on your numbers, the ceremony could take place in the same room which will be turned around for the wedding reception during your drinks reception. Alternatively, you could use a different event space for your ceremony.
Absolutely, we can hook your device to our PA system with a jack cable and we would be very happy to play your own songs during your ceremony or your playlist for the evening.
Depending on your numbers, the drinks reception would be held either in our Knights Bar or the Indigo Lounge.
Of course, we can reserve a room for you or the wedding suite the night before, in order to get ready on the morning of the wedding at the Castle.
We include a wedding suite complimentary on the night of the wedding for the couple.
We have 111 bedrooms. There are 3 grades of room available to guests – Deluxe, Executive and Suite Rooms. Rates vary between grades. There are also a number of guesthouses, B&Bs and hotels nearby.
Our reservations team can reserve up to 10 rooms at a reduced rate for Viking Suite weddings and up to 15 rooms at a reduced rate for Great Hall weddings.
Check out time is normally 12.00 noon.
We have round tables that can accommodate from 8 to 12 guests per table.
We will print personalised menus and table numbers/names for all the tables, place cards for the top table and we have a beautiful table plan display.
We do have a PA system and microphones in house complimentary.
We have a preferred suppliers list which we would be very happy to send you.
Approximately 6-8 weeks before the wedding day you will enjoy a complimentary Menu Tasting for 2 people in the Castle. Our Wedding Manager will arrange this for you, normally Menu Tastings take place on a Thursday evening in our Fahrenheit restaurant.
We will cater for any dietary requirements on the day, and we will also have a silent vegetarian option.
Corkage fee is €17.50 per bottle of wine and €25 per bottle of sparkling wine
The entertain and bar closes at 1am on Fridays & Saturdays, 12am on Sundays to Thursdays and the Bar closes at 1:30am
This would depend on the event space booked for the wedding. The following deposit is required: Great Hall – €3,000, which is non-refundable Viking Suite – €1,500, which is non-refundable Fahrenheit Restaurant – €1,000, which is non-refundable We can hold a date for a number of weeks before the deposit is required.
Absolutely, we would be delighted to book a space for you for a family gathering the night before or a BBQ the day after the wedding. Our BBQ menu starts from €42 per person.
